How do I know if my Mazda has a recall?
Mazda will send out letters via mail to notify owners of the issued recall. When you receive a recall letter in the mail from Mazda it will include the following information; a description of the defect, how the manufacturer plans to fix the problem, and instructions regarding what you should do next. Upon receipt of a notification detailing the recall specifics, contact Airport Mazda and Schedule a Service Appointment with a qualified Mazda technician where you can have the defect repaired free of charge.
If you are unsure whether a recall has been issued for your vehicle use Mazda's VIN lookup to check if there are any active recalls on your vehicle. The VIN number is a unique 17-digit vehicle identification number recognized worldwide. Your Mazda's VIN number can usually be found on the driver's side of the dash. It will be visible from the outside through the window of the windshield. Once you locate and enter your unique VIN number in the lookup a list of active recalls will appear.
