SKYACTIV Scalable EV Architecture
The EV market is quickly evolving, and some exciting changes are coming at Mazda. In addition to the existing lineup of EV and hybrid Mazda models, vehicles based on the Skyactive Scalable EV architecture will start rolling out from 2025 to 2030. The rollout of electric cars, EV and plug-in hybrid vehicles will help Mazda achieve electrification in all Mazda models by 2030, with 25% of those consisting of pure electric cars.
This lineup will consist of five hybrid models, five plug-in, and three EV models that will offer something for almost every driver. These electric models will have some of the most advanced features, including the Mazda Co-Pilot system. This autonomous driving system is currently being worked on and will hopefully find its way into the lineup of EVs. Other technologies in this lineup will include safety and driver-assist features. These future EVs will also utilize the latest communication systems integrated into their design to provide a safer driving experience.
The Rollout of Electric Vehicles and Plug-in Hybrid Vehicles
This new direction builds on the techniques learned and developed as part of the Skyactiv technology in highly efficient combustion engines. Like our Skyactiv engines have been adapted to our various Mazda models, the Skyactiv Scalable EV Architecture will adjust to the multiple models to provide you with a wide range of options. These models will start arriving between 2022 and 2025, with several new options rolling out after 2025.
